[Yesterday, 100.000 teachers marched on the streets of Lisbon, against the politics of the Ministry of Public Education]
That was clearly a statement, Lina, which you were able to capture brilliantly against the tiles of these roofs. You must have had an exciting vantage point.
I knew it. I knew you are a teacher or a professor. Judging by your colorful comments, I'd say you teach literature or language, or both. I see your passion for the cause of the protest. What IS the politics of the Ministry of the Public Education?
VZ: They are having a "creative fury"...they legislate as if there is no tomorrow, and they seem incapable of understanding the real problems of a real school. Everything is based on theory and it has no meaning or use in the real education world. And of course, when things go wrong (because they are indeed stupid and absurd measures) the teachers are the only ones to blame.

ReplyDeleteOriginal framing. I like a lot this shot. And Portuguese teachers are more concerned than French ones.
ReplyDeleteInteresting composition!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what you were doing on the roofs... ;-)
Coloquei-as no meu blog.

This is fantastic and intense. I didn't realize you were in such political trouble. Let us know if you need to escape the country.
ReplyDeleteA mistura de texturas resultou muito bem.
